A reminder that the Blitz is taking place next weekend on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2026.

Please attend at Frankfield Petanque at 9.00 am on Saturday. We hope to start play at 9.30.

If, by any chance, you are unable to come, or are delayed, do let Jim Ryan know immediately. A team missing would change the format of the tournament for the two days.

If only one of your team is available we have a spare player here in Cork.

If you are travelling from afar, there will be people practicing on Friday afternoon.

We have a full complement of 22 teams, and eleven pistes. We will be playing six games on Saturday, although some will be playing seven rounds with a sit-out. It will be an open draw. The pistes will be designated for each game. Bring your own lunch – there is no food available (but there is drink) in Frankfield. There is a petrol station at the bottom of Frankfield Hill that sells sandwiches, another at Supervalu in Grange.
