Below is the calendar for this years fixtures, competitions and social events at Frankfield Pétanque Cork.

| Spring Competition | Open draw doubles event. €5 entry fee per person | Sunday 12th April at 12:00 noon |

| IPA Celtic Challenge | Saturday, Sunday 2nd and 3rd May | |
| Club Singles Competition | Club competition for individual competitors. €5 entry fee per person | Sunday 5th July |
| Club Triples Competition | Fixed team triples event. €5 entry fee per person | Sunday 19th July at 3:00pm |
| Club Doubles Competition | This is a set doubles competition intented to give match practice to doubles teams competing in the Blitz. €5 entry fee per person | Sunday 23rd August at 09:30 am |
| Frankfield Boules Blitz | This is a set doubles event €15 entry fee per person | Saturday, Sunday 29th and 30th August |
| End of Season Competition | Open draw doubles event. Free entry Prize fund max €250 | Sunday 8th November at 12:00 noon |
How Our Competitions Work
Franfield Pétanque Cork organises events and competitions throught the year. To take part please notify the organiser using the form below or on the club’s WhatsApp group no later than the Sunday prior to the competition.
Numbers entered may alter start time and format.
General Competition Rules
Competitions follow standard petanque rules with the following items relating to competitions at Frankfield.
- Club colours to be worn
- Competitiors to arrive 30 mins prior to start of event to register and assist with setup
Singles Competition
The format of the singles competition is as follows.
- Competitors are split into two or more groups of four or six
- Each member of the group plays each other in a round robin
- For each game a coin toss decides who goes first.
- The winner of the coin toss also decides which piste to play. This is either chosen or selected at random
- Each game is limited to 45 minutes
